Q: How long have you been doing yoga?
A: Four years

Q: Had you tried yoga before attending classes with Rebecca? If so what style? Where?
A: Yes - Hatha with another private yoga teacher in Surbiton

Q: What made you decide to start yoga?
A: I wanted to start some exercise again after having my first child a year before. I'd also suffered from post natal depression so I wanted something relaxing.

Q: How did you feel after your first class?
A: Like I'd done drugs! I honestly think it was the first time I'd properly relaxed since the birth of my son. I was totally hooked straight away but it has and is taking me years to perfect all the poses.

Q: What’s your favourite pose? (You can use a description if you don’t know the name of the pose)
A: It depends on my mood and what's achy at the time but I like the forward fold and the triangle. I used to think the triangle was a waste of time but it's really grown on me!

Q: What’s your least favourite pose? (You can use a description if you don’t know the name of the pose)
A: I don't seem to bend in the middle when I'm sitting down so I don't like those poses where you have to lean over your legs.

Q: Has yoga helped you with any specific ailments/injuries?
A: I work as a nurse and I used to get back ache. When I started yoga it cleared it up. Then I had a bit of a break from yoga before finding Rebecca and the back ache came back. It's gone again now!

Q: What motivates you to keep attending class?
A: Now that I'm familiar with the moves and can relax into the class it genuinely feels like I've had a massage after the class. The stretches are really wonderful.

Q: What would you tell someone who’s never tried yoga before?
A: I think the biggest mistake people make is trying to get yoga 'right.' I did yoga right through my second pregnancy so I had to be really careful and listen to my body. This taught me that yoga is about being in tune with your body and feeling good much more than looking perfect in all the poses.
